G. THOMAS SHRECK, 79 of Rock Hall, MD, passed away on August 14, 2012 at home. Mr. Shreck was born on January 28, 1933 son of the late Alvin and Mary Williams Shreck. Tom has lived in the same home his entire life where he loved watching old movies. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Tom had worked for central services in the mail room at Washington College for 49 ½ years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Younger. He is survived by his brother Alvin Shreck and his wife Polly of Arbutus, MD; nieces and nephews, Anthony and Penny Younger of Rock Hall, Carroll and Amy Younger of Chestertown, John and Elizabeth Younger of Rock Hall, Rosemary and Calvin Merchant of Rock Hall, Theresa and Thomas Garrity of Linwood, PA, and Randy Shreck of Baltimore, MD; a great nephew, Cole Younger with whom he lived and several great nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday, August 17 from 6 to 8 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 18 at 11 am in St. John's Catholic Church, Rock Hall, MD. Burial in adjoining cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Carroll, John, Anthony, Robert, Johnny and Cole Younger.
