William H. Walls, Sr., "Bill", 79 of Chestertown, MD passed away on April 5, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Bill was born on July 28, 1943, son of the late Jesse Bates Walls, Sr. and Betty Mae Walls.  He was a lifetime resident of Queen Anne's County where he was a 1961 graduate of Sudlersville High School.  He began working for Friel Canning in Wye Mills and Southern States until running a water conditioning business for several years and for the last 50 years he owned and operated Billy's Crabs. He was a commercial waterman and also did deer processing.  Bill was a member of the Coon Hunters Club, was an avid trapper and a legendary rabbit hunter.  He was active with AA and a senior mentor to many.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Walls infant daughter, Anne Walls and a brother J.B. Walls, Jr.

Bill is survived by his children, William 'Billy' Walls (Deanna) of Edgewater, MD, Adam Walls (Annette) of Worton, MD and Beth Selinger (Michael) of Edgewater, MD; a brother Samuel Walls (Carol) of Rock Hall, sister Carolyn Spray of Cordova and sister-in-law Margaret Walls of Chestertown; grandchildren, Houston Walls, Nathan Walls, Natalie Walls, Bruno Selinger, Max Selinger, Sam Selinger, Michael Clough, Jessie Clough, Bradley Clough, Adam Clough, Anthony Clough and Bobby Clough and 7 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 14 from 6 to 8 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Crumpton Cemetery.
