William Flook Schrodel, Massey Maryland, William (Bill) Schrodel died at home December 8, 2024. Bill was born March 7, 1940, in Frederick Maryland the son of Charles Suman Schrodel and Eleanor Renn (Flook) Schrodel. He grew up on a dairy farm in Frederick and continued farming in Frederick until moving to Massey Maryland in 1992. Bill graduated from Frederick High School, he was in the FFA, he was Past Master of the Columbia Lodge 58, he was a member of the Train Collector Association (TCA), First State Model Railroad Club, Shore Line Garden Railroad Club, B&O Railroad Museum, and Farm Bureau member and served on board of the Farm Cooperative Association (FCA).
Bill was an avid gardener with several gardens including a Japanese Garden, a Southwest Garden with cacti and succulents, and green houses. He was also a collector of model trains including O scale, garden scale and all other model scales. Bill also enjoyed traveling with family and friends; he had traveled to 26 countries and all 50 states.
In addition to his parents Bill was predeceased by his sister Arianna Regester.
Bill is survived by his siblings Charles (Jack) Schrodel of Frederick Maryland, David Schrodel of Frederick Maryland, and George (Philip) Schrodel of Brunswick Maine. Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kathleen Theresa Schrodel; three sons William D. Schrodel, Robert M. Schrodel Sr, and John (Jack) L. Schrodel. He has 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
