Obituary

William S. Biggart, III, 72 of Still Pond, MD passed away on May 30, 2025 at Arcadia Assisted Living, Denton, MD.

Bill as he was known by many, was born on May 4, 1953 in Presque Isle, ME, son of the late William S. Biggart Jr. and Florence Mae Geissinger. Bill began first grade in England and moved to many other countries as his father was in the Air Force.   In his senior year of high school, he moved to Crumpton in Queen Anne's County where he would graduate in 1971.  After high school Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, he began his career with the Maryland State Highway, retiring after 30 years of service as a Project Engineer. He later worked at Kent Island Airport with its restoration.

Bill loved baseball and played for the Crumpton Bears and later the Silver Bullets. He also loved riding his motorcycle with family and friends where he attended Daytona Bike week, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Laconia Bike Week. He enjoyed traveling, visiting the Bad Lands, Mount Rushmore, Grand Canyon and locally Frontier Town and Cast Aways with his RV.  He was a big fan of the Orioles and Ravens.

His favorite pastime was spending time and swimming with his granddaughter Clara

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Tara M. Biggart in 1995 and his brother David Biggart.

Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years Claudia Moore Biggart; son Steven Biggart (Amanda) of Denton, MD; sister Cathy Hess and his granddaughter Clara.
