William Leedom McCrea, 77 of Millington, MD passed away on January 8, 2024 at Compass Regional Hospice.

Bill was born on June 18, 1946 in Montgomery County, PA, son of the late Leedom J and Katherine McCrea.  He was a graduate of Lansdowne Aldan High School. In 1964 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, obtaining the rank of Private.  He was discharged in 1967 and began his career as a self-employed roofer.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting rifles and gardening.  He was a member of the NRA.

He is survived by his children, Michael McCrea of Palm City, FL, Denise Romaniello and Dennis McCrea both of Ponte Vedra, FL; 2 sisters, Jeanne M. Rapp of Phoenixville, PA and Kathleen Wright of Dover, DE; grandchildren, Austin Dennis McCrea, Morgan Lee McCrea, Riley Grace McCrea, Alyssa Nicole Romaniello, Anthony Louis Romaniello and Ella McCrea and great grandchildren, Lyla Lee McCrea, Austin McCrea, Jr., Ayla McCrea, Auria McCrea and Lawrence (Ren) Dennis McCrea.

Bill donated his body to the Maryland State Anatomy Board.  He will be buried in Crumpton Cemetery with his parents.
