Mr. William "Stanley" Grant III passed away at the age of 79 on Nov. 20, 2021 at The Resorts of Chester River Manor, Chestertown, MD.

He was born on Sept 16, 1942 to Helen Clara and William Stanley Grant Jr., in Rock Hall, MD.

After graduating from Rock Hall High School, Mr. Grant became a firefighter at BWI Airport in Baltimore, MD. He also owned a small barber shop in Rock Hall, MD where he excelled at cutting hair and ended his working days as a carpenter with a great eye for details.

Mr. Grant was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann "Peggy" Grant.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Pinder (Jeffrey Pinder), of Centreville, MD, his 5 granddaughters, Jennifer McKinney (Travis McGinnes) of Chestertown, MD, Christene Ploss (Jeff Hatch) of Centreville, MD, Brittany Nelson (James Nelson) of Irvine, CA and Lauren Edwards (Brandon Edwards), Dover, DE and Abigail Pinder of Centreville, MD; 5 great grandchildren and a sister Barbara Burris of Rockville, MD.

For Mr. Grant's love for animals donations may be offered to The Animal Care Shelter for Kent County or rescue a dog as he did many times.
