William Burke Davis 'Bill', 64 of Earleville, MD, passed away on February 16, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on August 14, 1960, son of the late Doris Armstrong and Bruce Davis. He lived his entire life on Old Philadelphia Farm, where he was raised by his grandparents Arthur and Margaret Bailey along with the Craig and Ginn families. Bill was a 1979 graduate of Bohemia Manor High School. In 1987 he met the love of his life Debbie after meeting on Valentine's Day, they were married in 1988. He began working for the Maryland State Highway Dept. in 1980 and retired after 39 years of service as a Team Leader from their Centreville office.
Bill loved his 'Garden', trips to West Virginia, fishing, camping and boating, but his greatest accomplishment was his children and their time together.
Along with his parents and grandparents, he was preceded by his stepfather Lewis Montgomery and brother Mike Montgomery.
Bill is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie Davis; children, Meghan Dixon (Ben), William Davis and Wilson Davis; 3 grandchildren, Robert Dixon III, Stephanie Dixon and Lilly Dixon; siblings Lewis Montgomery, Donna Fasano (Bill) and Mark Montgomery (Joy); and sister in laws, Robin Montgomery, Sherry Bittinger (Brian) and Cheryl Miller (Rusty); a brother in law Henry Klingler (Joanne); step mother Merry Lou Davis; many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends and neighbors.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22 from 12-1 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where a memorial service will begin at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Cecilton Vol. Fire Co., PO Box 565, Cecilton, MD 21913
