Weldon A. Beck, 'Slick', 84 of Rock Hall, MD passed away on January 13, 2024 at Bayhealth, Medical Center-Kent, Dover, DE.

Mr. Beck was born on November 27, 1939 in Rock Hall, son of the late William Henry Beck, Sr. and Grace Williams Beck. He enlisted with the US Army, serving during Vietnam.  After his honorable discharge, he began working for Local 199 at a Delaware City Oil Refinery, retiring in 2004 after 30 years of service. Mr. Beck also worked at Rock Hall Oyster and Clam Company.  He was a lifetime resident of Rock Hall where he was a member of American Legion Post 228.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Terence Weldon Beck; 3 brothers, Marcellus Beck, William H. Beck, Jr. and Rueben Beck and 2 sisters Wautina Beck Hackett and Syreva Beck Johnson and a great granddaughter Autumn Nichole Malloy.

Mr. Beck is survived by 4 daughters, Deneen Elize Beck, Andrea LaVerne Beck, Sheree Denise Beck and Kesha Shiantea Beck Ocasio (Brad); lifetime partner Edna Marie Briscoe; sister Christine Beck Hackett; former wife Bessie Odessa Johnson Beck; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 27 from 9 -11 am at the Potters House, 8814 Fairlee Rd., Chestertown, MD where funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow at Holy Trinity AME Cemetery, Rock Hall, MD.
