Wayne Bruce Smith, 70, of Newark, DE passed away on September 29, 2026 after a long illness.

He is a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend and his presence is deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Majorie Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna, his daughters Annette Smith and Stephanie Smith (Philip); granddaughters Angelina Horack and Lydia Horack, brother Richard Smith, Jr. (Andrea); his brother-in-law Tim Stringer (Misha Nebozhyn); sister-in-law Linda Shelby (Robert Wisnewski) and friends Bruce Bryan and Sandy Morelli (Art).

Wayne was a graduate of Del Castle High School and retired from Amtrak Bear Shops and DuPont. He loved going to Disney and Universal Studios Florida. He was part of the CARES Radio Group. He enjoyed helping family and friends and will be truly missed.

Per his request there will be no services.
