Walter C. Ruebeck, 84 of Millington, MD passed away on August 2, 2025 at home.

Walter was born on September 22, 1940 in Chester, PA, son of the late Earl Rodger Ruebeck, Sr. and Gladys Castle Goodchild Ruebeck.  He was raised in Marcus Hook, PA and traveled extensively under the employment of Sun Oil. Walter was a trained machinist.  After moving to Kent County, MD, he worked as a maintenance mechanic for Tidewater Publishing Corporation and for over 10 years in maintenance for the Town of Chestertown.   Walter was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1963 – 1965.

Along with his parents he was last of 11 siblings that preceded him in death Janet Wright, Alberta Krakowski, Hazel Walls, Leslie Sebilist, Charlotte Dunion and Virgina Moats, Earline Striley John Ruebeck, Leonard Ruebeck and Earl Ruebeck, Jr.

Walter is survived by his wife of 26 years, Ellen E. Ruebeck, stepsons, Scott Thompson, Blake Thompson and Ethan Thompson; 6 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately.
