Walter L. Elburn Jr., 60, of Rock Hall, MD, passed away August 25, 2025 at Christiana Hospital, Newark DE.

Walter was born on December 21, 1964 in Chestertown, MD to the late Edna (Breeding) and Walter L. Elburn Sr.  He was raised in Rock Hall and was a 1982 graduate of Kent County High School.  After graduation he proudly served for four years in the United States Marine Corp.  After his honorable discharge from the Marine Corp. he began his trade career as a plumber.

Walter enjoyed spending time on the water boating, fishing and crabbing especially if he could do it with his children and grandchildren.  He was the happiest when he was spending time with them.  Walter was also an active member of the Rock Hall American Legion- Sgt. Preston Ashley Post 228.

He is survived by his 6 children, Walter Elburn III of Chestertown, MD, Elizabeth Elburn of Rock Hall, MD, Daniel Elburn (Linh) of Rock Hall, MD, Joshua Elburn (Dana) of Manassas, VA, Zach Elburn (Teaghan) of Cocoa Beach, FL, Vanessa Elburn (Tanner) of Federalsburg, MD; their mother Judith Torres, grandchildren Lillian Waller, Maizie Elburn and Lila Strong

A viewing on Thursday, September 4 from 5 to 7 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech where a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5 at 10:30 am, with military honors.  Burial will be held privately in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock MD.
