Virginia Bolton Davis, 95 of Earleville, MD passed away on November 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Davis was born on March 28, 1927, daughter of the late James 'Pick' Bolton and Martha Tims Bolton.  She was a 1945 graduate of George Biddle High School in Cecilton.  For a short time she worked as a bookkeeper for DuPont Company in Wilmington, DE.  In 1947 she married Thomas Davis making their home in Cecilton, where they raised 3 children.  In 1966 they purchased Davis Market which she, Tommy and their son Ronnie operated until its sale in 1987.

Mrs. Davis was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church where she served with the Altar Guild and ECW.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Thomas C. Davis, her son Ronnie Davis and a brother Robert Bolton.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughters, Diane Holt of Cary, NC and Carolyn Schwartz and her husband Mark of Wilmington, NC; daughter in law Connie Davis of Chesapeake City; brother Donald Bolton (Frances) of Cecilton; sister in law Doris Bolton of Earleville; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Tucker (Mark), Tom Holt (Mindy) and Ashley Barber (Ruthie) and 3 great grandchildren, Davis Tucker, Gracen Tucker and Wyatt Holt.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 18 from 11 to 12 pm at St. Stephen's Church, 10 Glebe Rd. Earleville, MD where funeral service will begin at 12 pm.  Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to St. Stephen's Cemetery or their General Fund, 10 Glebe Rd. Earleville, MD 21919.
