Tyrone Michael Cooper Sr, 52 of Chestertown Md departed this earth on February 23,2025 at Bayhealth Hospital in Dover, DE.

Tyrone was born to Audrey Somerville Cooper and the late Melvin Cooper Jr.  on March 20,1972 in Wurzburg Germany where his father was in the Army.

He was raised in Worton Maryland

Tyrone was a graduate and proud athlete of Kent County High School Class of 1991. Helping his team win Back-to-Back state Championships. He also ran Track

"The 6-foot 1, 180-pound junior, could be the best linebacker Kent has ever had... Tyrone, who ran the 40 yd dash in 4.4. seconds finished with 52 solo tackles."

Tyrone was a true professional who found immense fulfillment in the work he did as a painter. Over the years, he worked for Rivers Edge Painting Company and Danny Pletzer.

Tyrone enjoyed watching football, being with his son, coin collecting, spending time with family and friends and spoiling his great nieces and nephews.

Tyrone is survived in death by his mother Audrey Cooper of Chestertown Md, Son Tyrone Cooper Jr of Middletown De, 2 bonus children Kyri Brown & Shakira Brown. 3 brothers Terrence (Kim) Cooper of Cleveland Ohio, Anthony (Nikki) of Houston Texas, Rynell Reese (Nakia) of Dover De. 1 sister Typhne Cooper of Easton Md. 2 Nieces; Zanae Wilson (Tyron) & Kyra Cooper. 1 Nephew Donte Henry (Latia). 3 aunts; Phyllis Somerville, Marilyn Watters and Lois Cooper and a very special friend Chalita Rochester. And a host of cousins and friends.

A life celebration will be held on Saturday March 22, 2025 at 3pm in the Galena Funeral Home. 118 Cross St Galena MD.
