Obituary

Theresa Ann Adams Schramko

Terri Schramko, 89, of Earleville, MD passed away on October 23, 2022. She brought light, joy and happiness to all who knew her.

Terri was born in July 1933 in Scranton, PA. She was the third daughter of Nicholas and Madeline Adams. The family moved from Scranton to Philadelphia in 1937 where Terri graduated from Germantown High School in 1951. She earned a B.S. in Accounting from Temple University in 1970 and later became one of only a handful of women who were certified computer programmers. She worked at Richardson Merrell Company and Strawbridge & Clothier writing code to computerize their accounting functions. In her position at Philadelphia National Bank, Terri helped create the first automated bank teller system in the United States.

A highlight of her life was meeting and marrying Edward Walter Schramko. They enjoyed 39 years of marriage until Eddie's death in 2009. Terri and Eddie retired to Earleville, MD in 1980. There, Terri enjoyed many friends, family, and hobbies. She was a championship bowler in several leagues. She was a Reiki healer and expert on wellness and nutrition and was a lifelong student of astrology and metaphysics. She enjoyed playing the ukulele. Her favorite song was "You Are My Sunshine".

Terri is loved and missed by many family members and friends. At Terri's request, no funeral service is planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a celebration of life gathering is arranged. The family encourages everyone to express their love for Terri and their grief for her passing in messages here or by donating to a charity of their choice.
