Thelma Walls Short, 95 of Sudlersville, MD passed away on September 25, 2023 at home.

Mrs. Short was born on June 28, 1928, daughter of the late Edward and Martha Blackiston Walls.  She was raised in Pennsylvania and later moved to Queen Anne's County.  In 1943 she married her husband William Dudley Short and together they raised 6 children.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved listening to country music.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years William Dudley Short; 3 children, William 'Smitty' Short, Carroll F. Short and Helen Reynolds; 2 brothers Joe and Thomas Walls; 2 sisters, Lena Thompson and Elsie LaPorte; and grandchildren, Billy Hunter and Donna Short.

She is survived by 3 children, Betty Holupka and her husband Chuck, George Short and Thelma 'Snookie' Hunter; a brother Clifton Walls and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A private service will be held at Double Creek Cemetery, Crumpton, Md.
