Tanya Maria Fernwalt, 36 of Millington, MD passed away on December 22, 2021 at home.

Tanya was born on January 24, 1985, daughter of the late Brian Douglas Fernwalt and Marcia Bonwill.  She was a 2003 graduate of Kent County High School.  Tanya enjoyed cooking and worked as a chef for Sassafras Harbor, Molly's, Dover Air Force Base and for the last 3 years Chester River Yacht and Country Club.  She loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brian Douglas Fernwalt and Marcia Bonwill Fernwalt Ramirez grandparents, Jack Fernwalt, Millie Fernwalt and Mr. & Mrs. Bernard Barcus.

Tanya is survived by her uncle and aunt Scott and Ann Fernwalt, aunt Cindy Bonwill; step- grandmother, Nancy Fernwalt; cousins, Lacey and Billy Sutton and Shane Fernwalt and their children Sophia, Drew, Bevyn, Braelynn and Bristol.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 1 to 3 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD.  Burial will be held privately in Shrewsbury Cemetery.
