Susan H. Wright, 82 of Chestertown, MD passed away on March 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Wright was born on February 23, 1940 in Baltimore, daughter of the late John Tyler and Kathryn Nicodemus Hair.   She was raised in Baltimore and graduated from Trinity Prep in Baltimore in 1957.  She attended Johns Hopkins University for one semester and graduated from Washington College in 1962.  Mrs. Wright began her career in 1962 at George Washington University as an Admissions Evaluator and in 1967 she moved to Chestertown where she worked at Washington College' Dean of Admissions and Financial Aide until 1980.  From 1983 until 2001 she owned the Children's Exchange, and from 1999 thru 2001 she worked part time for Kent County Social Services as their Family Investment Case Manager until she received a full-time position as a Financial Investment Specialist, retiring in 2018.  Mrs. Wright was a member of Shrewsbury Parish Church, where she served on the Vestry, Altar Guild and as a Sunday School teacher.  She enjoyed gardening.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wayne M. Wright; daughters, Susan Wright-Taylor (Kevin) of Worton, Marylou Wright (Jeff Amorello) of Key Largo, FL and Jennifer Wright (Charles Chas Kealey) of Worton and 4 grandchildren, Madeline Taylor, Peyton Taylor, Cooper Kealey and Carter Kealey.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24 from 10 to 11 am at Shrewsbury Parish Church, Kennedyville, MD, where service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Shrewsbury Cemetery.
