Susan Francis Loeb, 55 of Newark, DE passed away at home on September 1, 2025.

Susan was born on November 19, 1969, in Wilmington, DE to the late Donna (Jackson) Kilpatrick. She was raised in Newark and attended school in the Christina School District, graduating from Glasgow High School in 1988.  She was active in the fire service when she was younger and was a member of the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company.  She worked in a nursing home and for Discover Bank before her 20-year career at Allied Security where she was still currently employed.

Family meant everything to Susan.  She loved every family function and especially loved spoiling her nieces and nephews.  She enjoyed camping trips with her brother and sister and law; they took annual trips to Chincoteague VA, and special trips to Tennessee and Maine.  When she was younger, she enjoyed shooting pool and participating in bowling leagues with her friends. She was a lifelong avid Eagles fan. Go Eagles!

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her dog Lola, who passed away just a few weeks prior.

She is survived by her brothers Chris Loeb (Deanna) and Brian Loeb (Tracey); sister Veronica Harrigan (Ryan); Nieces Katrina Wyatt, Audrey Harrigan, Jacqueline Shaffer, and Mackenzie Brice; Nephews Brennan Loeb, Dale Brown and Thorn Starkey; and numerous loving friends.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday September 11, 2025, at 10am in the Galena Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 11am in the Community Fire Department of Millington MD, 185 Sassafras St. Millington, MD 21651.
