Susan Jane Covey, 75, of Chestertown, MD passed away February 6, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Covey was born July 30, 1949, daughter of Robert and Thelma Knotts Rhoades. She grew up on Knights Island Farm, Earleville, MD and was a 1967 graduate of Bohemia Manor High School. In 1974 she married her husband of 50 years, Isaac "Buddy" Henry Covey Jr. and they raised their family in Betterton, MD. In 2002 they moved to Chestertown, MD.

Mrs. Covey enjoyed antiques, gardening, feeding and watching birds. Her favorites were yellow roses and goldfinches.

Susan "Jane" is survived by her husband of 50 years, Buddy Covey, their children Thomas Gale (Christine) of Townsend, DE, Deborah Bethel (Steve) of Worton, MD, Michael Gale (Wendy) of Dover, DE, Kerry Covey of Worton, MD, Chris Covey (Nancy) of Berlin, MD, DeAnna Catlin of Anchor Point, AK, Becky Ravin (Dean) of Homer, AK and Duane Covey of Yamhill, OR; her 3 sisters, Betty Lou Mullen of Edmond, OK, Bertie Noland (Jack) of Warwick, MD, Lisa Little (Jon) of Clayton, DE; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday February 12, 2025 at 1 PM in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, MD.
