The family of Steven R. Walters is sad to announce his passing on December 6, 2023.  He was 73 years old.

He was the son of the late Robert A. Walters and Mary Southoff and brother of Carol Manno (Robert) and their sons John and Michael and Patricia Kuhl (Joachim) and their son Eric.  Steve was born on Long Island, NY on May 25, 1950 and lived in South Hempstead for most of his life.  Steve was a very skilled auto mechanic, cross country truck driver and owned a marina in Baldwin Harbor, NY.

He had it all; a truck, a boat and new teeth, simple pleasures!

Steve moved to Maryland in 2019 and was very happy living in Galena which he referred to as a "little slice of heaven".  He was grateful for his circle of like-minded friends here and truly enjoyed the eastern shore lifestyle.

There will not be a memorial service.  Steve's sisters would like everyone who knew him to take a moment and reflect on how fortunate we are to have family and friends who accept us as we are despite our unique quirks.
