Shirley M. Brown, 64 of Marydel, MD, passed away on December 3, 2020 at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD.

Mrs. Brown was born on June 20, 1956 in Chestertown, MD, daughter of Ruth Ann Lofland Ford and the late John R. Ervin.  She was raised on a farm near Centreville, MD and had lived in Barclay before moving to Marydel 43 years ago.  Shirley was a Supervisor for Hardee's in Centreville for over 25 years, retiring in 2014.  She was a life member of Sudlersville VFC Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Millington Moose Lodge and Shore Christian Fellowship, Queenstown, MD.  She had a love for Owls, collecting thousands over the years.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William H. Brown, Sr in 2015.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Ann Ford of Barclay, MD, her children, William H. Brown, Jr. (Hope), John H. Brown and James S. Brown, Sr. (Tiffany) all of Marydel, MD; step-mother, Ann Ervin of Barclay; her brothers, John 'Butch' Ervin of Missouri, Charles Ervin of Barclay, MD and James Ervin of Delaware; 2 sisters, Brenda Fuery of Centreville, MD and Lee Hygh of Georgia; grandchildren, Bryanna Brown (David), Michael Perry (Maddie), Jessica Brown, James Brown, Hunter Francis, Madison Carson and Joshua Carson; her beloved dogs, Byler and Slick and many special aunts that were more like sisters, especially Debbie Conley (Frank).

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 9 from 11 to 12 in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 12 noon.  Burial in Templeville Cemetery, Templeville, MD
