Sharon Y. Jacobs ‘Sherrie’ 70 of Chestertown, MD passed away on August 15, 2026 at Compass Hospice, Centreville, MD.

Sherrie was born on July 13, 1956, daughter of the late Robert T. Wagner and Vivian Sewell Wagner Gears. She was raised in Rock Hall and was a 1974 graduate of Kent County High School. On June 15, 1984 she married the love of her life, Preston Jacobs. She worked in the office for Baltimore Business Forms, Wisco Envelopes and later Todds and retired from Dr. Noble and Dr. Peimer’s Office after many years of service.

Sherrie was a member of the Sgt. Preston Ashley American Legion Post 228 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, canning, playing cards and bowling, where she bowled with several leagues. Sherrie loved sitting by the pool and reading.

Sherrie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Preston Jacobs, Jr.; sons Jeremy Jacobs (Stacy Ashley) and Jason Jacobs (Helen) both of Rock Hall; a brother Robert Wagner (Donna) of Townsend, DE; sisters Debbie Bramble of Galena, Vivian Nordhoff (Chris) of Rock Hall and Robin Cannon (Leroy) of Galena; grandchildren Aleea Jacobs (Jamie), Jason Jacobs, Jr. and Bryce Jacobs; a great granddaughter Arya Cecil and close friend Donna North of Centreville, MD. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be held privately.
