Sharon Lyn "Sherry" Haas, 65, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, Maryland.
Born on August 19, 1960, at Kent and Queen Anne's Hospital in Chestertown, Maryland, Sherry lived a life devoted to her children. Sherry possessed a genuinely kind heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. She had a special gift for making people laugh and brightening even the most difficult days.
One of the greatest blessings in Sherry's life was the unbreakable bond she shared with her twin sister. Their love for one another was truly a gift, and their lifelong connection remained a source of strength, comfort, and joy.
Sherry accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior many years ago. As her illness progressed, she found renewed peace and comfort in her faith and rededicated her life to the Lord. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now resting in His presence.
Sherry was preceded in death by her son, David Lee Haas, Jr.; her father, Elwood Lee Tucker; her mother, Janice O. Elburn; and her sister, Jacqueline Tucker ("Jackie").
She is survived by her son, James Brian Haas; her cherished grandchildren, Kole Haas, Kaitlyn Haas, Cloey Haas, and Drew Haas; her brother, Thomas A. Tucker and his wife, Bonnie, of Rock Hall, Maryland; her twin sister, Teresa L. Nelson and her husband, Brent, of Rock Hall, Maryland; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Debbie Dalrymple and Nancy Baker for the love, compassion, and care they provided to Sherry during her illness.
In accordance with Sherry's wishes, no public services will be held at this time. Sherry will be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Rock Hall, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compass Regional Hospice, 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD 21617.
