Satazia Breona Jones, lovingly known as Tazia, was born on September 3, 1999, in Chestertown, Maryland, to Eugene Jones and Shawn Hickman. She passed away on November 27, 2025.

She was raised in Coleman, Maryland, where she attended Worton Elementary, Kent County and Gauger-Cobb Middle School, and graduated from Kent County High School in 2017.

Tazia will forever be remembered for her warmth, lively spirit, and infectious laughter. She brought joy and light to every room she entered, leaving behind cherished memories that will continue to inspire her family and friends.

Robert Burke (Great Grandfather), Geneva Wilson (Great Grandmother), Erma Jones (Grandmother), Russell Wilson (Grandfather), Kiana Wilson (Aunt) and Raymond Jones Jr. (Godfather) preceded her in death.

Though her time with us was far too short, her love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Satazia is survived by her father, Eugene (Tamyra) Jones; mother, Shawn Hickman; sisters, Sadaya Wilson and Hannah Dupree-Zeigler; grandmother, Rolenia Demby; nephew, Karsin Evans; aunts, Pastor Ashley Jones, Kenya Wilson, and Crystal Young; uncles, Darrell and Cory Wilson; great grandmother, Evalena Burke; great aunts, Faye Little and Cynthia Oakley; great uncle, William Jones; godparents, Eric Truxon, Tyler Brooks, Courtney Parsons, Donna Wilson, and Theresa Walls; godson, JaKai Freeman; godbrother, Kree Dixon; godsister, Emiyah Hamilton. Satazia had a host of cousins and loved ones who loved her dearly.

Forever in our hearts, Satazia—you will be deeply missed and always remembered.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 13 from 1 to 2 pm at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church, 24840 Lambs Meadow Rd., Worton,MD where funeral service will begin at 2 pm.  Burial will be held privately.
