Sara Simmons Gepp, 83 of Kennedyville, MD, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2026.

Mrs. Gepp was born on August 24, 1942 in Havre de Grace, MD, daughter of the late Thomas Cordie and Martha Jourdan Simmons.  She was raised in Aberdeen and was a 1960 graduate of Bel Air High School. She met her husband Carl while working at the Edgewood Arsenal and they were married in 1962.  They raised 4 daughters while living in Darlington, MD.  Sara was a 4-H Leader in Harford County.  She enjoyed showing dogs, French Bulldogs, border terriers, and golden retrievers.  She enjoyed reading, painting and playing the organ and piano.  In 1994 they moved to Kennedyville where she was active at Shrewsbury Parish.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Robin T. Douglas.

Mrs. Gepp is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carl E. Gepp, daughters, Melissa D. Feehley of Bel Air, MD, Noelle S. Wilson of Shrewsbury, PA and Melinda D. Coyne of Bel Air, MD, grandchildren Logan Jade Douglas, Michael Cordie Wilson, Calvin Matthew Wilson and Eleanor Paige Coyne and a brother Cordie T. Simmons of Lancaster, VA.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 20 from 12:30 – 2pm at Shrewsbury Parish Church, Kennedyville, MD where funeral service will begin at 2pm.  Burial will be held privately in Rock Run Cemetery, Havre de Grace, MD.
