Ruth Young Lake died in Melbourne, Florida on Saturday, September 16, 2023 after courageously fighting a long illness.  She was 84.
Ruth was born in Plainfield, New Jersey.  She grew up in Middletown, Delaware, which is where she met her husband Paul Lake.  They dated through their teenage years.  Together they had 5 children: Paul Jr., Patrick, and Richard, all of Melbourne, Florida; a daughter, Bonnie Bloomfield of Ramah, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Ruth's husband Paul and her youngest son Eric both preceded her in death.  Ruth and Paul were married 43 years.

Ruth will be buried next to her husband in Chesapeake City, Maryland.  A private graveside service will be held for the family.
