Ruth Ann "Snookie" Dabler, 82, passed away at home on August 6, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Snookie was born in Baltimore, MD on May 9, 1942 to the late Pete Wallace and Nettie Ford Wallace Turner. At an early age she moved to Chesterville before moving to the farm in Galena. She was a 1960 graduate of Galena High School. She married Charles W. Dabler Jr. on April 1, 1967 and in 1970 they moved the family to Florida. They returned to Maryland in 1988 and built their home in Galena. She was employed for several years at Lehigh Chemical as a lab tech, as a designer for Interior Designs by Cheryl, and at Natures Naturals. She was a devoted homemaker for many years. Snookie loved her nightly episodes of Jeopardy with a Diet Pepsi in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

Along with her parents and her dad Ralph Turner, Snookie was preceded in death by husband Charles W. Dabler Jr; brothers Bob Wallace, Billy Ford and Gene Turner; and nephew Billy Wallace.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Powell (Pat); granddaughter Cheyenne Watson (Nick), grandsons Brian Powell (Gwen) and Michael Powell (Jess); 4 great grandchildren brother Woodie Turner; sister Joyce Ford; sister-in-law Patsy; and dear friend Linda Stryholuk.

A graveside service will be held on Monday August 26, 2024 at 1PM in Galena Cemetery.
