Roxana Jean Westerman, 61, of Worton, Maryland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on November 10, 2020.
Roxana was born on July 3, 1959, in Ripley, West Virginia, to Cameron Wallace Campbell and Ruby Rose Campbell (née Waybright). As a child, she enjoyed the outdoors and playing in the West Virginia countryside. At age 14, she trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior and faithfully attended Ripley Tabernacle Baptist Church in Ripley, West Virginia. After graduating from Ripley High School in 1977, she went on to study Elementary Education at Hyles Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana. There Roxana met the love of her life, Charles David Westerman, and they were married on June 19, 1982. They first made a home in Merrillville, Indiana. After a few years, they moved to New Castle, Delaware, and then finally to Worton, Maryland, where they lived for over 30 years. There they raised their six children, Charity, Timothy, Stephen, Matthew, Melissa, and Jeremy.
Roxana was a member of Chestertown Baptist Church where she volunteered and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and homemaking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and especially loved teaching them about the Lord.
Along with her parents, Roxana was preceded in death by her sister, Paula Andrea Campbell.
Roxana is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles David Westerman; her 6 children, Charity Rose Cimba (Michael) of Millington, MD; Timothy David Westerman (Laura) of Seminole, AL; Stephen Eugene Westerman (Alisha) of Milton, FL; Matthew Robert Westerman (Anna) of Milton, FL; Melissa Joy Tucker (Tommy) of Worton, MD; and Jeremy Daniel Westerman of Worton, MD; and her 13 grandchildren, Nicholas, William, Isabella, Annabelle, Judah, Eleanor, Jane, Grace, Hannah, Benjamin, Sophia, Cayden and Everett (due any day). She is also survived by her brothers, Terrance Lee Campbell, Edgar Wallace Campbell, Neil Roy Campbell, Harry Lewis Campbell, and Christopher Scott Campbell, and her sister, Cheryl Smith.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 14 th at 10 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. in Chestertown Baptist Church, 401 Morgnec Rd., Chestertown, MD. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Worton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Benevolence Fund of Chestertown Baptist Church, 401 Morgnec Road, Chestertown, MD 21620.
