Ronnie C. Ransom, Sr., 61 of Golts, MD passed away on May 9, 2024 at his daughter's home in Middletown, DE.

Ronnie was born on July 12, 1962 in Chestertown, MD, son of the late William J. Ransom, Sr. and Catherine Morgan Ransom. He was a lifetime resident of Golts and a 1981 graduate of Kent County High School.  He was a skilled carpenter, an excellent mechanic and a great handyman.  He enjoyed fishing, singing and spending time with his family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Keith Ransom and 2 sisters, Gwen Ransom and Omar Sudler.

Ronnie is survived by his children, Tierra Ransom and Ronnie C. Ransom, Jr. both of Middletown, DE; the mother of his children, Ida B. Goines of Chestertown, MD; step-daughters, Ky-lsha Gilbert and Monique Griffin both of Chestertown, MD; brothers Jackson Morgan of Hartford, CT and William J. Ransom, Jr. of Golts, MD; a sister Yvonne Garnett of Golts, MD; 3 grandchildren, Ray Money, Serenity Money and Levi Money.; and his best friend Ronald Scott of Middletown, DE

A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 11 am to 12 pm in the Trinity A.M.E. Church, 27 Lockwood St. Middletown, DE where funeral service will begin at 12 pm.  Burial will be held privately.
