Obituary

Roberta "Bobbie" Biggs (nee Pollard), born February 21, 1927 in Stratford, NJ, died September 6, 2024 at 2:02 pm at home in Cecilton, MD.

She was the daughter of Laura Morgan and Thomas Pollard.  Upon the death of her father when she was 5 years old, her mother moved the family to Maryland.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lee Biggs, whom she loved so dearly for 52 years.  She was also predeceased by her loving companion, Thomas G. O'Neal.

She is survived by her sons, Robert L. Biggs, Jr. (Linda), Richard F. Biggs (Linda), and Philip T. Biggs (Jackie), seven grandchildren, Robert Biggs III, Angela Griffiths, Timothy Biggs, Amanda Deaver, Travis Biggs, Kelsey Lemire, and Deborah Petka and five great grandchildren.

She enjoyed visits from her family and friends.  She was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan, always coaching from her living room chair.  She was a tremendous cook, and her coconut cakes were always devoured by her family members and friends alike.  Mom was also a life-long member of St. Stephen Episcopal Church.

Friends and family are welcome for visitation at the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, MD on Thursday, September 12 from 10 to 11 am. Service by Pastor Gene Blailock to begin at 11 am.  Burial will be private.
