Robert William Ortman, 86 of Galena, MD formerly of North East, MD passed away on December 29, 2024, at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Mr. Ortman was born on July 8, 1938 in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Robert Milton Ortman and Hilda Gertrude Berkowski Ortman.  He had lived in Baltimore County and worked for MTA as a warehouse supervisor and mechanic for 40 years, retiring in 2000.  Later that year he moved to North East, MD.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lorraine Lutz Ortman, a son Robert W. Ortman, Jr; 2 grandchildren David Freund, Jr and Jessica Vetter and a brother Richard M. Ortman.

Mr. Ortman is survived by his daughters, Denise Woodall (Charles) and Donna Ortman; grandchildren, Angela Kreis, Brittany Shaffer and Charles Woodall, Jr. and 7 great grandchildren.

Services will be held privately.
