Robert A. Myers, 81 of Chestertown, MD passed away on November 4, 2022.

Mr. Myers was born on August 16, 1941, son of the late Christian Allie Myers and Elise Spence Myers.  He was a lifetime resident of Kent County, where he was a 1960 graduate of Chestertown High School.  In June of 1960 he enlisted with the US Marine Corp, where he served during Vietnam, with overseas duty.  He was honorably discharged in 1964 with 2 additional years in the reserves.  Bob career as a surveyor spanned over 38 years, working for Maryland State Hwy, David A. Bramble, McCrone Surveyors and Michael A. Scott, retiring in 2004.

Bob was a charter member of the Elks, Post 2474 where he was past Exalted Ruler, he was also a member of the American Legion Post #36, a past commander and a life member of American Legion Post #228, Rock Hall.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and dancing.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mae Jones Myers, son Chris Myers and his wife Melissa Kaufman Myers of Chestertown; granddaughter Lauren Elise Myers; and 2 sisters, Marlyn Myers Maas of San Marcos, CA and Charlotte Moffett Stermer of Largo, FL and many lifelong friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 1pm at the Chestertown Elks Lodge, 8631 Belle Rose Lane, Chestertown, MD 21620

A private burial will be held in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Chestertown Elks Lodge Scholarship Fund (local) or charity of your choice.
