Robert C. Koch, Sr., 69 of Earleville, MD passed away on December 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at Christiana Care-Union Hospital.

Bob was born on November 18, 1955 in Ridley Park, PA, son of the late Robert Koch and Janet Jaeske Koch.  At the age of 10 his family moved to Hacks Point where he continued to live throughout his life.  Bob was a 1973 graduate of Bohemia Manor High School.  He began his career with American Home and Hardware working as a HVAC Technician and later worked for Schagrin Gas. Bob started his own company SLR Heating and Air Conditioning, working with families and businesses in the area.  He also owned Bob's Golf Carts.  He later drove for the Amish Community.  Bob was always very helpful to family and friends and was very generous to the Hacks Point Community and Association, giving his time and talents.

Bob could repair anything-this trait came easy to him.  He truly enjoyed woodworking, especially building his family's home and his daughter's baby furniture.  He enjoyed activities on the water, winter sports, collecting Hess trucks, movies and coins. Bob was a huge NASCAR Fan, Dale Ernhart, Sr., being his favorite.   Bob loved his Chihuahuas, Nellie, Jada, Jasmine and Candi.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother Jeff Koch.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Stephanie D. Swanson (Brandon) and his granddaughter Mia all of Smyrna, DE and son Robert C. Koch, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; the mother of his children, Lisa A. Koch of Earleville, MD; his brothers, Bill Koch of Dover, DE, Rick Koch (Gayle) of Millville, DE and Steve Koch (Becky) of California and a sister Julie Bonventre (Nino) of California.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 20 from 11 to 1 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 1pm.  Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Earleville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Hacks Point Community Association, PO Box 648 Chesapeake City, MD 21915
