Robert W. Alcorn, 82 of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Calvert Manor.

Mr. Alcorn was born on August 18, 1942 in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Joseph W. and Mina Blades Alcorn. After graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp, serving from 1959 - 1968 until receiving his honorable discharge.  He furthered his education as a journeyman and worked for many years as an electrician.

Bob was an active member of various churches and most recently with Pleasant View Baptist Church, Port Deposit.  He was also active with the Marine Corp League, American Legion, and NRA, past president of Christmas in April and Toys for Tots in Cecil County.  Bob was a very proud veteran and what the USA stands for and was a member of Devil Dog.  But he was most proud of being a family man to his wife and daughter.

Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruby Husfelt Alcorn, his daughter April Alcorn and many well-loved nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.  He was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Alcorn.

A visitation will be held on Veteran's Day, November 11 from 3 -4 pm in Pleasant View Baptist Church, 150 Downin Lane, Port Deposit, MD 21904 where a celebration of his life will begin at 4 pm.

Memorials may be offered to Pleasant View Baptist Church in Bob's memory.
