Rita C. Blusiewicz, 94 of Chestertown, MD passed away on December 19, 2020 at the Resorts at Chester River Manor, Chestertown.

Mrs. Blusiewicz was born on December 29, 1925 in Biloxi, Mississippi, daughter of the late James G. Wallace, Sr. and Agnes B. Kurlinski Wallace.  She was raised in Baltimore until moving to Kent County in 1991.  In Baltimore she worked in sewing and canning factories.  Rita was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chestertown.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benedict J. Blusiewicz in 2003; a brother James G. Wallace, Jr. and a sister Dorothy Spishock.

She is survived by a daughter Carolyn Beamer and several nieces and nephews including James and Kathy Wallace who cared for her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 30 at 9:30 am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, High St. Chestertown, MD.  Burial will follow in Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
