Richard W. Miller, 77, of Worton, MD passed away on January 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Christiana Hospital.

Mr. Miller was born on May 13, 1945 in West Chester, PA, son of the late Albert Joseph Miller and Elizabeth Ottey Miller.  He was raised in Paoli, PA where he was a graduate of Conestoga High School and continued his education at Millersville State College, earning a BA degree in Education.  He taught Industrial Arts for several years and was a general manager for American Tree Service.  He later owned and operated Miller Tree Service and in 1981 he purchased American Arborist Supply, retiring in 2001.  He loved sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and after retiring he moved to Kent County, where he sailed the East Coast and the Bahamas.  He enjoyed woodworking in his home workshop, and loved tending to trees, flowers and plants.

He loved the Lord and had great faith in Jesus Christ and was an active member of the Eastern Shore Bible Baptist Church in Galena.  We know he's rejoicing in heaven.

Richard is survived by his wife of 10 years, Susan Johnstone Miller, his daughter, Darcy Miller of Cochranville, PA and stepchildren, Michael Materi (Jenna) of Glenmoore, PA and Laura Materi of West Chester, PA; sisters Betty Jo Taffe of Rumney, NH and Dianne Dacey of Aberdeen, MD and grandchildren, Allen Freese and Riley Materi.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 30 from 10 to 11 am in Eastern Shore Bible Baptist Church, 13984 Gregg Neck Rd., Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 11am. Burial in adjoining cemetery.
