Richard Lamb Hudson, 96 of Chestertown, MD passed away on April 26, 2025, at The Golden Rule Assisted Living, Rock Hall, MD.

Dickie was born on July 16, 1928 in Chestertown, MD, son of the late George Raymond Hudson and Emily Plummer Hudson.  He was a lifetime resident of Chestertown where Dickie along with his wife owned and operated Curlett Electric for 28 years, retiring in 1990.

Dickie was a life member of the Chestertown Elks.  He was a very social man, enjoying pitch, poker and the ponies.  He was known to say "I have dirt in my veins", he loved gardening, growing vegetables and fruit and shared his harvest with all his family and friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Raines Hudson in 2002; long time friend Janet D. Washburn in 2023; 3 brothers, Frank Plummer Hudson, George Raymond Hudson and John Monroe Hudson and a sister Diana Curlett Nicholson.

Dickie is survived by two sons, Richard C. Hudson (Debbie) of Rock Hall, MD and Raymond H. Hudson (Lisa) of Galena, MD; one daughter Nancy Cecelia Hudson of Roanoke, VA; four grandchildren, Tim Everitt (Leslie), Edwin Everitt (Nichole), Amanda Bellegarde (Jordan) and Andrew Hudson (Alexandria) and 9 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 1 from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Christ I.U. Cemetery, Worton, MD
