Richard R. Iacono, 75 of Clayton, DE passed away on December 15, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Rich was born on August 5, 1946 in Chester, PA, son of the late Vito and Arlene Miller Iacono. He began his career with UPS as a driver and retired with over 30 years of service as a center manager in 2001, known to his co-workers as DOC.  Rich & Dorothy enjoyed many years at Pots Nets, boating, fishing and crabbing.  In Rich's later years he loved to be on his computer and especially loved his faithful companions, their dogs Otis & Rosie.  Rich also treasured the time spent with family at their beautiful home, poolside and coming together on Christmas Eve every year, as it was a big celebration for the entire family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Springer and grandson, Kevin Michael McKee.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Dorothy Angelini Iacono; children, Maureen McKee, Richard Iacono, Jeff Iacono, Dana Debellis, Jeff Springer, Donna Pyott (Mike), and Ann Marie Deysher (Ron); a sister, Jo Ann Cropper; brother John Iacono; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 23, from 10 to 12 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W.Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at 12 pm.  Burial will follow in Old Bohemia Cemetery, Warwick, MD
