Rebecca Plummer McHenry, 87 of Kennedyville, MD passed away on September 2, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family and caretaker Joyce Timms.

Mrs. McHenry was born on August 15, 1938 in Chestertown, MD, daughter of the late John Dudley Plummer and Gladys Gustafson Plummer. She was a graduate of Chestertown High School. Mrs. McHenry worked for Chestertown Bank, Dr. Lowe and as an office secretary at F.O. Mitchell Cannery. She also did a lot of work on the farm, especially helping with the calves.

Becky grew up on the Chesapeake Bay where she loved swimming and being on the water. She also enjoyed riding horses when she was young and loved to sew. She also loved to travel, especially going to Wyoming and Montana. Her greatest love were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Howard McHenry in 2024 and a son Lee McHenry in 2012.

Mrs. McHenry is survived by 2 sons, H. Albie McHenry, Jr. and Dudley McHenry (Teri); a brother John Plummer, Jr. (Judy) and a sister Theresa Plummer Redman (Carl); 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A private burial will be held in Kennedyville Cemetery.
