Ralph H. Eveland, Jr., 83 of Cecilton, MD passed peacefully at home on March 13, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Ralph was born on October 13, 1938, son of the late Gertrude Johnston Eveland and Ralph H. Eveland, Sr.  He was raised in Chesapeake City where he graduated from Chesapeake City High School in 1957.  Ralph worked for Complete Coin, repairing vending and video game machines.  He served with the Maryland National Guard, played softball for Chesapeake City VFW, also coached little league baseball, girls softball and helped to organize the T-Ball League in Cecilton.  Ralph enjoyed playing poker and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by infant daughter Margaret Lee Eveland.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Dixon Eveland; children, Dede Pardee of Cecilton, Buddy Eveland (Sabrina) of Earleville, Jody Eveland, Sr. of Elkton, Ralph Eveland III of Chesapeake City, Linda Svinth (Stephen) of Montesano,WA and Jamie Eveland (Vanessa) of Ruckersville, VA; a brother Russell Eveland (Kathy) of Newark, DE; 13 grandchildren, Chloe, Adam and Ronnie Eveland, Logan West, Joelle, Lance and Jody Eveland, Jordan Eveland, Cole, Tori, Christian, Savanah and Shaundy Svinth and 6 greatgrandchildren, Paige West, Jamison Eveland, Lincoln, London, Liberty and Beckham Naiper.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 22 from 11 to 12 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 12 pm.  Burial in Galena Cemetery.
