2023. Larry Blackiston, 61 of Chestertown, MD passed away on February 13, 2023.

Larry was born on August 14, 1961, son of the late Ralph J. and Lorraine Purnell Blackiston.  He was a lifetime resident of Queen Anne's County where he attended Queen Anne's County Public Schools.  Larry owned and operated LB Painting & Wallpapering for many years.  His ability ranged from painting and drywall to wallpapering. He was a trusted caretaker of many homes for people in the area.

Larry was a past member of Crumpton VFC.  He enjoyed NASCAR and was a Ravens Fan.  He also cared for every stray animal that needed help.

Larry is survived by aunts, Catherine O. Blackiston and Mary Purnell both of Chestertown, a uncle Emory Purnell of Millington; numerous cousins including, Lisa Driver of Chestertown, Linda Blackiston of Chestertown, Lynn Purnell of Crumpton, Jimmy Purnell of Felton, DE, Danny Purnell of North Carolina, Lou Ann Justice of Dover, DE, Sue Winborne of Sudlersville, Melinda Sharp of Centreville, Michael Blackiston of Chestertown, James Blackiston of Ocala, FL, Margaret O'Neill of Chestertown, Shania Wolfe of Crumpton and Matt Purnell of Crumpton and many more.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 5 at 1 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Galena Funeral Home.
