Peggy E. Kemp, 79 of Sudlersville, MD formerly of Crumpton, passed away on February 10, 2021 at Bridge Point Hospital, Capitol Hill, D.C.

Mrs. Kemp was born on April 21, 1941, daughter of the late William C. and Mary Carroll Embert.  She was born in Ridgely and raised in Ingleside. In 1957 she married Willard Kemp and started their family and in 1962 they moved to Chino Farms.  Peggy worked as a baker for Amity Bakery for 15 years.  She enjoyed baking and crocheting.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, J. Willard Kemp, Sr. in 2016.

Peggy is survived by her children, John W. 'Jack' Kemp, Jr. (Debbie) of Chestertown, Pamela L. Kemp (Danny) of Parsonsburg, MD and Kevin Kemp (Robin) of Sudlersville; a sister Betty Cannon of Church Hill; 8 grandchildren, Davy L. and Timothy Elborn, Jessica Sohn, Amy Elliott, Lauren Mench, Conner Layton, Mitchell and Lindsay Kemp and 10 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 20 from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Crumpton Cemetery.
