Pauline Gail Emory Conover, 72 of Galena, MD passed away on February 28, 2025 at Compass Hospice Center, Centreville, MD.

Gail was born on September 26, 1952 in Chestertown, MD daughter of the late James Thomas and Doris Elizabeth Phillips Emory.  She had lived her life on the upper shore of Maryland.  Gail worked for USA Fulfillment for several years.  She was a member of Olivet United Methodist Church in Galena and enjoyed reading.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Thomas Conover, Sr. on January 22, 2025, a son Jamie Glen Emory and a brother James Thomas Emory, Jr.

Gail is survived by 2 sons, Thomas Conover, Jr. of Chestertown and Scott Michael Conover (Amy) of W. VA; 3 sisters Linda Lee Kincaid of Greenwood, DE, Virginia Clendaniel of Sudlersville, MD and Janet Drago of Boston, Mass; a granddaughter Danica Lynn Paige Conover and very dear friends who cared for her, Debbie and Chris Conner of Galena, MD.

A funeral service will be held on March 10 at 11 am at Olivet United Methodist Church, Galena, MD where burial will follow in Sudlersville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Backpack Program at Olivet UM Church P.O. 107, Galena, MD 21635 or Compass Hospice, 160 Coursevall Dr. Centreville, MD 21617.
