Nadine H. Cornieles, 99 of Cecilton, MD passed away on February 19, 2026 at Bay Terrace Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Dover, DE.

Mrs. Cornieles was born on October 12, 1926 to the late Otto and Lilian Zunk in Toledo, Ohio.  She was graduate of Waite High School in 1944 and the University of Toledo in 1947, where she was a member of Phi Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta Phi, Kappa Delta, the French Club and International Relations organization.  In 1949 she married Ramon E. Cornieles, and in 1950 they moved to Venezuela, living in various communities established by Royal Dutch Shell Oil Company.  While living there they raised a daughter and 3 sons.  Nadine traveled internationally to Germany, Italy, Japan, China and South American countries. She volunteered for the Children Service League in Caracas and helped establish a kindergarten and elementary school in a poor community. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and playing the piano.

In 2016 she moved to Cecilton, MD and eventually residing in Dover, DE.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ramon E. Cornieles and granddaughter Andrea Cornieles.

Mrs. Cornieles is survived by her brother Daniel Zunk (Alice) of Toledo, Ohio, her daughter Cristina (Alvaro) and 3 sons Ramon (Belgica), Raul (Karen), and Carlos; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Service will be held privately.
