Michael W. Sarratt, 36 of Columbus Ohio, passed away suddenly on February 22, 2023.

Michael was born on January 1, 1987, in Easton, MD, son of Gay A. Ormsby and Michael L. Sarratt.  He was raised in Millington until moving to Ohio at the age of 15.  Michael returned to Millington in 2013 and immediately began working for Schauber's Lumber and Sawmill, Inc for 1 year then worked for the Town of Chestertown in maintenance for few years.  He later owned and operated a Carpentry/Construction business named ALL AMERICAN HANDYMAN. In 2021 he returned to Ohio.

He enjoyed fishing and four wheeling and was a great handyman.  Michael was a Member of the Betterton  " 5 "  Fire Department during 2015 - 2016.  Michael is known for his sweet spirit and old soul, he is a blessing forevermore.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger and Anne Ormsby, father-in-law Ronnie Williams, uncle Mark Ormsby, uncle Paul Sarratt, cousin Gordon Ormsby and godmother Judy King.

Michael is survived by his mother Gay Ormsby of Maryland, father Michael Sarratt of Ohio, mother-in-law Marsha Williams of Ohio, son Kainen Sarratt of Ohio, twin sister Kandace A. Sarratt and her children Masen Harmon and twins Maddox and Mia Harmon and brother in law Michael 'Mike' Harmon; brothers, Josh Glover and Justin Sarratt; significant other, Amy Glover step-children, Adam and Aiden Brumfield; aunt Diana Sarratt and uncles Mark Sarratt, Josh Daugherty, Jeremy Daugherty and Jesse Daugherty and their children, and cousins, Amanda, Miranda and Nicole Ormsby, & children and cousins, Richard Ormsby, Mekayla, Trevor & Olivia Ormsby, Tammy, Hector, Juan, Sabrina, April and Jenny Perez, Earl Powers Ormsby, Earl Ormsby.

A viewing will be held on Monday March 13 ^th 2023 from 12 to 1pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where Celebration of Life service will begin at 1pm.  Burial will follow in Crumpton Cemetery. Reception to be announced.
