Mary Emma Taylor, 82 of Middletown, DE, passed away on January 21, 2023 at Accent Care in Christiana Hospital.

Mrs. Taylor was born on August 6, 1940, daughter of the late James Floyd Ransom and Martha Walls Ransom.  She was raised in Clayton, DE and at the age of 17 married Thomas E. Taylor, Sr.  They raised their family in Warwick, MD, where she was a wife, mother and homemaker.  She enjoyed crabbing, fishing, traveling, reading and crocheting.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Richard and a sister Norma Lee Haley.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband of 66 years, Thomas Edwin Taylor, Sr.; children, Thomas E. Taylor, Jr. of Townsend, DE, Douglas Taylor of Warwick, MD and Denise Moore of Texas; sisters, Janet Marie Daugherty and Faye Louise Edwards; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately.
