Mary Louise McGuire, 91 of Massey, MD passed away on December 19, 2023 at Bayhealth Kent, Dover, DE.

Mrs. McGuire was born on November 18, 1932 in Denton, MD, daughter of the late George R and Catherine Parker Holding.  She was raised in Cecilton, MD where her father was a tenant farmer. After her marriage they moved to Massey where she raised her family.  She enjoyed listening to Blue Grass music, which her husband played and sang and made dinner for 50 -100 people every Sunday.  She also enjoyed fishing and the slots.

Along with her parents she was preceded by her husband of 57 years, William Henry McGuire; son David Lee McGuire; her granddaughter Christian McGuire, grandson Michael Heimbach and her siblings, Catherine, William, Leonard, Raymond, David, Ann, Mae, Walter and Richard.

Mrs. McGuire is survived by her sons, George T. McGuire (Caryn); William Clayton McGuire, Sr. (Cindy) and Charles G. McGuire, Sr.; 8 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatgrandchild.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 27 from 10 to 12 at the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, MD with service at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Galena Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to the American Heart Association.
