Mary Viola Washington Jackson, 76 of Chestertown, MD passed away on December 17, 2021 at Shore Medical Center at Easton.

Mrs. Jackson was born on March 8, 1945, daughter of the late George William Washington and Rachel Emma Long.  She was a lifetime resident of Kent County.  Mary has worked as a security guard for many years for Allied Security Services.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, William Wesley Jackson and 4 brothers, William P. Mason, Robert C. Mason, George Washington and Walter Washington.

Mary is survived by her son Aaron R. Beck of Victorville, CA; 3 grandchildren Gernaim Peyrefitta and Iassah Aaron Beck (Brittney) and a great granddaughter Elise M. Beck.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 14 from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 11 am.

Burial will follow privately in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, where she will reunited with her husband, Wes.
