Mary A. Ferguson, 59, of Newark, DE passed away on November 25, 2025 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Mary was born on June 27, 1966, daughter of the late Walter and Lillian Park Foraker and grew up in Cecilton.  In 1984 she graduated from Bohemia Manor High School and shortly after married the love of her life Terry Ferguson.  Following graduation, she began her 25-year career with the Cecil Whig, working as an office manager.  Since 2013 has worked for Lilly Fasteners as an office manager.

Mary loved her family, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She had a very infectious sense of humor and made everyone feel important and special.  She was truly someone that everyone loved to be around.  In her free time Mary enjoyed boating, going to yard sales and loved music, especially Elvis.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Schneider and a brother Patrick "Buddy" Hines.

Mary is survived by her husband of 41 years, Terry L. Ferguson; 2 sons, Ryan Ferguson and Matt Ferguson (April) all of Newark, DE; 8 grandchildren, Ryan Ferguson, Jr., Harper Ferguson, Parker Ferguson, Natalie Donahue, Chloe Kell, Skyylynn Jackson, Makailee Carter and Ella Carter and 7 brothers and sisters, Roberta Dopp, Wilma  Sisbarro, Barbara Bowen, Nancy Erdner, John Hines, Michael Hines and Jimmy Hines.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 3 from 12 to 2 pm at Five Rivers Church, 290 Whitehall Rd., Elkton, MD.  A reception celebrating Mary will follow in the Five Rivers Church Gymnasium at 2 pm.
