Marion E. Stubbs 'Whitey', 93 of Chestertown, MD passed away at home on December 16, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Whitey was born on March 17, 1929, son of the late William and Anna Mae Hunter Stubbs.  He had worked as a truck driver for Harris Seafood and Baker Petroleum, both for 20 years, retiring in 2012.  Whitey enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Orioles and Ravens, playing horseshoes and watching westerns.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Catherine Rodney Kemp, Virginia Cox, Patricia Drury and James Wright and 2 stepsons, John and Dennis Atkinson.

Whitey is survived by his wife of 59 years, June Hynson Stubbs; children, Edgar Stubbs, Carolyn Walls, Cindy Kaczmarczyk, Steven Stubbs, David Stubbs and Darrell Stubbs; a stepdaughter Jo Ann Morris; special nephew, Gene Drury and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 21 from 1 to 2 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton, MD.
